I was at the game, got harassed for wearing my Conacher jersey. Shows how much Devils fans know for the most part.

Very sloppy and disappointing. I can't really say much more.
Credit to Anders AGAIN for having a really good game, but with no offensive support. That 1st period he had was insanity.

Yes sir. Very solid performance by Lindback and the shame is that his stat line is going to be tarnished by those late 5-on-3 goals.

That was still a penalty on Hall.

60.1 High-sticking - A “high stick” is one which is carried above the height of the opponent’s shoulders. Players and goalkeepers must be in control and responsible for their stick. However, a player is permitted accidental contact on an opponent if the act is committed as a normal windup or follow through of a shooting motion. A wild swing at a bouncing puck would not be considered a normal windup or follow through and any contact to an opponent above the height of the shoulders shall be penalized accordingly.

Boucher and the TV analysts beg to differ.

Thanks to Michael's great write up sounds like i didn't miss anything last night. This loosing steak has me at a bit of concern. What looked like a hot start is turning into us beating up teams we should and loosing against good teams. I'm not hitting the panic button just yet but Boston on Saturday afternnon has me on my heals a little bit. Knowing our stuggles on afternoon games let alone against Boston i'm hoping we wake up and change our toon before we make the "analist" judgement on our team correct. This team is to good to loose 5 in a row let alone sink out of playoff contention

Good find. People tend to stop reading when they find what they want. TB can't score 5 goals a game forever.

Good read I questioned the calls last night too and sometimes you get a make up or even up call like on Marty. The Hall call was just bad and he was slew footed to boot. The momentum might have not have changed with one call but two any chance for tying the game was gone on a good tightly played game. Even in the first, dominated by the devils in the second and the lightning taking over in the third looking to tie. What I don't get is the thin skinned refs. They called an unsportsmanlike penalty on both teams last night and I've seen a number of them this year. What is up with that when a coach can't question a call especially on Boucher who is not one of the more vocal coaches behind the bench. I know it's still early in the season and the refs are calling alot of marginal penalties everywhere but some of these are taking the games out of the players hands not only last night or on the lightning but in general. I can see when the player or coach is going off the wall on calls and get overly abusive but some of these seem ridiculous. Everyone gets bad calls so you take them as part of the game but refs acting like its about them is way out of line.

Calls aside you guys were 0/4 on your PP, and only had 19 SOG. That's not going to cut most nights.
And why didn't they cancel your next game against Boston? They're supposed to get like 20-40 in. of snow!

They still think in the gunslinger mentality but need to cut down on the long passes chip and chase and work instead of trying to play pond hockey. How many times are you going to to try and try entering down the wall when it's been closed off by the D all night. Chip and chase and with support. Too often they work in the corners and leave the weak side open to outlet any pressure not sustaining any long term pressure in the zone. Always looking for the pretty play and getting lazy especially on the power play. No one is going to score PP goals at a 35% rate continually, teams adjust and right now the lightning aren't.

Watch the play again in slow motion, Hall actually sticks his foot out and gets tangled, not slew footed.

They were in Boston last night so not a problem but getting to NY for a Sunday night game could be a problem and maybe a re schedule there.

Don't think if they play Saturday afternoon it will be a sell out. I imagine the Bruins will probably stay in a downtown hotel as well but the fans are a different story.

In every game. They missed a call or two on the Lightning earlier in the game, as well.

Any idea on why this team sucks so bad on the road? This was a huge problem last season and i'm seeing the same issues early into this year. I'm starting to look to coaching...this shouldn't be happening.

No, but they do have a better vantage point than you or I on the TV. Unless of course you slow it down, and might see what happened during the action....

You missed the part where that doesn't matter and they say ANY CONTACT above the shoulders shall be penalized accordingly.
